Just a quick note to express our appreciation to Al and Nate for the excellent service that we received when we recently bought our Odyssey from The Smith Group. It is our fourth car purchased from The Smith Group. At our first purchase we "shopped around" prior but do not see the need to do so any longer. Nate made the financing of our vehicle a breeze., explaining everything clearly and simply so that we were able to understand the process, it wasn't complicated at all. We are also very pleased with the service department. Tanya and Josh make sure our vehicles are maintained very well.

My wife and I were spending the night in Idaho Falls as part of our return home trip from San Diego. We received a phone call that evening informing us that our home in Spokane had been burglarized and there was significant damage. Needless to say this was extremely stressful and we determined that we would need to get a very early start on Friday morning. At 7:00 we got onto northbound I-15 and after 5 miles had the battery warning light and ammeter indicate we had an electrical problem with our truck. Knowing that we were now running on the battery I was able to use an emergency turn around to get into the south bound lane. We are AARP members and a phone call to them provided a suggestion that we attempt to reach your dealership. We were able to drive to your location and I proceeded to the service garage. I was greeted by John Giannini and Bill Sermon. After explaining my dilemma they assured me that they could immediately diagnose the problem and get it repaired. They assigned Mitch to us and he quickly determined that the trucks' alternator had failed. A new alternator was ordered from a local parts house as the correct one was not in stock. During the wait for the alternator Mitch was extremely gracious. When the part arrived Mitch had it installed and tested in no time. We were able to get back on the road and arrived safely in Spokane on Friday night. I want to strongly commend your service department staff to you as well as your general manager, Jim Bringman. We were under a great deal of stress and your folks made a bad situation as good as it could be. In an era when you hear so much about customers who have had bad experiences with businesses it was extremely refreshing to be treated with courtesy and receive such outstanding service. Please take a moment to commend the folks in the service department for me. If I were a resident of your town you would have made a customer for life. On a lighter note, my daughter and son-in-law were traveling with us and while waiting for us found a 2008 Yukon Denali that perfectly fit the larger SUV they had been looking for. Again, your sales staff was very accommodating and my kids were able to come to a sales agreement allowing the purchase of the car. I would call that a "Win-Win" for all concerned. I brought in my daughter's 1999 Honda Accord EX we just drove from VA to Rexburg to attend BYU-I. I flew out on Jan 2 and wanted to try and get her car fixed before I returned home. It had developed during the trip - no heat from the heater/defroster and dash lights (Chk Eng, Mnt Rqd, and ABS). I arrived at 8:30 am per the posted website Srv Hrs. I was intially told parts were not available until Fri, 4 Jan. Then Tonya appeared and she was very knowledgable, friendly and flexible. She arranged to check all idenifited issues, arrange for local after-market parts, resolve some additional issues with the coolant and radiator (besides the falty thermostat), cleared codes and got me on my way by 12 noon. She was amazing and offered pricing and resolutions if dash lights came back that saved me time and money when I could have easily been delayed and taken advantage of. I appreciated her help and integrity. She earned my faith and confidence in the integrity of Service at Smith Honda of Idaho Falls and should be commended for her professionalism.
